Indian Independence Day

15th of August, the day of Indian Independency from British era which we have got in year 1947 was the result of hard work of our prestigios leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, nehru, Ballabh Bhai Patel, Subhash Chandra Bose etc.

On 15th of August this year, it will be 63rd anniversary of the day and we are lucky that India is Hosting world famous Common Wealth Games this year. Most of the preperations for the same has already been completed and hopefully, we will be in position to complete these in a very professional and reputed manner.

Its a very painful compliments to our politician for which they are popular, that our leader were again successful in creating the wealth from this nation pride events. In recent days, every media channel are flauting the news on corruption in Commonwelath Games which has created a very bad image of India on World plateform which is very bad to all of us Indians and shameful as well.

Money which has been used in this corruption are hard earned money of civilians like us and we are facing the problem of inflation day by day as the indian government is not able to control the expenses & corruption done on the name of Common Wealth Games.

Anyway, i still feel that this Independence Day has some special memory to us in way of World Fame Event-Common Wealth Games Village.

Today-August 11 when i have lost my brother

Today August 11 is the date when me n my family has lost one of our family member. It was the 3rd day after the festival of Rakshabandhan and the date was August 11, 1998, when i have lost my elder brother Krishna Kumar in sudden death.

He was born on the same day i.e. August 11, 1974 at 2:00PM. He was a very cheerful, enthusiastic, romantic and social person and was love to care all of his knowns. He was a post graduate in commerce and was working as an Indpendent Govt A class Contractor with PWD of Rajasthan.

In 1998, he was with us to enjoy the occassion of Raksha Bandhan. We all had lot of fun that time and enjot the family cheerness. After two day in early morning, he indicated some pain in his stomach which gradully has increased. We had taken him to doctor in city hospital where they have transfered him to State level SMS hospital at Jaipur. On the way when we were taking him to hospital, the time was approx same i.e. 2:00Pm when he was born, he has taken his last breath and left us in the dark.

We all of us were in shocked to see him in that position and was not able to stop crying. We were just like the persons in dark.

Today i have one elder brother n sister and one younger brother. Except younger brother who is working with in an PSU-PGCIL, all of us are married.

Me and my family including my parents still miss him very much. Today i am writing this blog in his memory as i am unable to stop myself from missing him and his memories.

Now i can understand that if i can feel that much of pain for missing of someone close to me, what other will feel, if they have lost of their family members.

I can pray from God that please give the peace to soul of my brother.

Munnar, a city for nature travellors.

Hi,

This blog is basically based on Munnar, a city of nature located in Cochin and famous for Tea Estates, Greenery and waterfalls.

Munnar, which means confluence of three rivers, was the summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. In the late 19th century, A.H. Sharp planted the first tea bush and since then tea has been the main agricultural crop in the region. Today, the hills around Munnar are blanketed with best-in-class green tea bushes. Munnar has been rated as second best Asian travel destination for year 2010 due to its sprawling tea plantations, pristine valleys and mountains and cool air.

Munnar can be a dream destination for the true admirer of nature who has a passion for driving. Cruising along winding smooth roads across mist-sheeted lush green tea gardens is the finest experience anyone can ever have.

Munnar, a place where every corner has his picturesque to click. You don’t need to think before clicking as the random clicking will also create incredible photography. You can walk without map or guide. Enjoyment of this nature place will depend on you that how you want to move around with curiosity to see around.

On the way to Munnar and approx 22kms before, a vast expanse of water surrounded by green carpeted hills covered with tea gardens can be seen which is known as Anayirankal Dam. The distant view of the reservoir follows for another 15 kms, which can be a excellent location for photography shoots.

In Munnar, famous animal or stocky goats with short, coarse fur and a bristly mane can be seen which is known as Varayadu or Nilgiri Tahr. Nilgiri Tahr is an endangered mountain ungulate listed in schedule I of the Indian Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972. This species is densely located and seen in Eravikulam National Park which has the highest density and largest surviving population of this species. It is located hardly 14 kms from Munnar town.

Top Station of Munnar, which is 41 kms uphill from Munnar, is located at the border of Kerala and Tamilnadu. This spot offers an ‘awebreathtakingsome’ panoramic view. Steeping down from this pathway with steep abyss might be adventurous rather than risky factor. The view of nature will be amazing to watch n clicks.

Want some fresh vegetables which are locally grown. At every other corner, when you walked, you will find women with baskets full of locally grown fruits and vegetables. Bargain and buy these and enjoy the tender carrots, passion fruits and wild tomatoes, all farm fresh and delicious.

In the southern part of Eravikulam National Park and approx fifty kilometers from Munnar, Anamudi is located which is the highest peak in the Western Ghats situated at a height of 2695 M (8842 feet). It is known a famous place for wildlife travelers and nature lovers. It literally means “Elephant forehead”.

You can also visit Mattupetty, a specialized dairy farm and an Indo-Swiss Project. It is located at approx 13 kms away from Munnar. The Mattupetty Lake and Dam is also just a short distance from here and is a gorgeous picnic spot. The sprawling Kundala tea plantations, Kundala Lake and the echo point are other attractions in the vicinity. A boat cruise on the lake is the best way to enjoy the leisure. Munnar town has many areas of attraction for tourist interest such as Sandalwood Forest of Marayoor, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary etc.

This blog has been recreated with personal experiences and might be available at other sites as well. Few pictures of the city and their view is also attached herewith and are collected from various internet sources.

Dual SIM Mobile handsets

For the latest tech buff, dual SIM mobiles are the interesting tech gadgets. Not one or two but 15 dual-SIM card phones from a single handset manufacturer – wow. Is this a sign of things to come in the mobile handset sector? Well, there is a lot up for grabs, considering the scores of handset launches by various manufacturers – those, whose single selling point besides the cost factor, is the dual-SIM option.

The main reason behind success of Dual SIM mobiles can be attributed to, unlike the city-breed, migrants who come to work in cities like to have two numbers, one permanent and another that they can keep changing according to mobile plans.

Before we look at the various brands that manufacture dual-SIM mobiles and what consumers think of the feature, let’s look at the dual-SIM concept itself-

Dual-SIM phones are ones which can hold two SIM cards. These phones are predominantly of two kinds, the first where you have the option of switching between the SIM cards, while the other SIM remains inactive. This is known as ‘standby dual-SIM’. The other type of dual-SIM phone is what’s called the ‘active dual-SIM phones’, where both SIMs can be used together.

The dual-SIM technology has seen a steady progress over the years, from the time when SIM cards had to be clipped to be fit into an adaptor to the newer versions where SIMs can be alternated by just a click.

Major mobile players like Nokia, LG & Samsung are already absorbed into the dual-SIM race with phones such as Nokia C-series, Samsung GT B5722 and LG-KS660, naming a few. But the manufacturers who have made significant gains through their dual-SIM handsets are ones like Micromax, Spice and Karbonn Mobiles such as Q7 & X235, Spice D-90, D-1100, & D-88 and Karbonn K770 being sold extensively.

Some other players which have come up in this series includes G-Fone, Airphone, Intex, Maxx, Olive, Onida, Orion, Oscar, Videocon, Lemon, Infibeam, Fujezone, Sky, Fly, Wespro, Wynn and Zen mobiles (bet we might not know the existence of all of these).

As per majority of users, it helped in separating their work-life from their social one. The advantage dual SIM mobiles have over others is one of the SIM cards can be changed regularly to avail better mobile plans, while the other remains a permanent number. Sim can be used with better network connectivity etc.

In practice you use one SIM most of the time, and occasionally swap in another one. This is also common practice among people who travel a lot, and among cost-conscious users, such as teenagers, in the developed world.

For people juggling multiple SIMs, a dual-SIM phone therefore has obvious appeal: it allows your phone to act, in effect, as two phones at once, sitting on two networks, and may even be able to switch between active calls on different networks.

Looking at the biggest picture however, there are some more pertinent thoughts, which can be answered only in course of time. A few:

• When private players get operational with 3G, and will it have any impact on this segment of mobile users?

• Will mobile operators tie-up with handset-makers, and develop the phone contract business?

• How relevant is number portability in these times of Dual-SIM handsets?

Monthly revision in Petrol rates finalized by three IOC

Till now we were blaming the Indian Government to raising the prices of petrol. But now when Indian government has de-regularized the petrol prices and made the oil exploration companies to fix their own retail charges, we have to suffer more. The top three Indian oil companies- HPCL, IOCL and BPCL have decided that they will revise the petrol cost on monthly basis across India. It means that petrol prices can be reached on international market level which will add additional burden on public. However, the Indian leaders will still be in position to get extra money.

Effect of commonwealth games on Delhites

Today morning when I woke up, the weather of Delhi was amazing. Birds were flying and the citizens were walking. I have just moved on the terrace of my home and was trying to enjoy the weather. Suddenly, the rain has come and I was wet. Anyway, during that time my wife has prepared a cup of tea which I have sipped. When I was on the way to my office, I have seen the driveway near ITO has been dismantled and sand & stones were lying on the road. Suddenly I remembered the headline of today Times of India that for Commonwealth Games, Delhi Govt. has decided to make the ITO as Green area and for the same, forest department has already started the planting on driveways and open spaces near ITO.
In most of area we can find that all the drive ways have been dismantled and re constructed with red stone. Do we think that will help us to make Delhi a safe, organized, clean and green Delhi? Is this not the waste of public money which is passing in between bureaucrats, politicians and contractors?
Till then the Indian Government has been selected as the organizer of Commonwealth Games, billions of money have been spent on the same. In addition, many projects for infrastructure up-gradation and public transport have been started in Delhi which also causes the negative effect of routine life of Delhites. Recently central government has hiked the charges of Petrol, Diesel, LPG and CNG on account of inflation. If we analyze the overall impact of Commonwealth games in Delhi, we will find that the citizen of Delhi as well as Indian nationals are in loss in terms of their hard earned money.
Why do we think that government is not doing anything for our wellness? Why do we think that after getting a good education in India, we should work for foreign country and provide our expertise to them? Why we can’t work in India for progression of our country and our nationals.
